A Time For Everything

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (NIV)
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

I mentioned yesterday that it can be a real challenge to work out what I can change. There is a whole list of things that I would desperately love to improve upon, however it always seems to be something to plan to do  tomorrow; never anything I can do today. And tomorrow never seems to come!

Life could be so much better! And yet, some things seem to be impossible to change.

I have a good feeling about this year. I believe that 2015 could be the year when it all starts coming together... when, finally, it all begins to work...

I know that I cannot control the different things that happen. The ebb and flow of life.

However, I do have a degree of control over how I respond to each event as it occurs.

And I'll strive to discover what God wants me to learn, while trying to live a life that reflects His light to a dark world.

Hi Colin,

Shortly before Christmas, it came to me that the 'time' wasn't right for various matters in my life to be dealt with; so your quote from Ecclesiastes is really to the point.

However, and without seeming to be over-eager, may the 'time' we both need be short in coming, yet long in staying.

My Good Wishes to you and your followers.

Regards,

The Artful Dodger.
